Interior PS urges Parents to talk to their children not to engage in acts of lawlessness

Parents have been told to sincerely talk to their children who are youths not to engage in any acts of lawlessness especially as the country heads to the next Year’s Polls.

Internal Security Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo says it is the duty of the parents to engage their children to meaningful talks that deter them from engaging in acts of lawlessness.

Addressing the residents of Nyando Constituency today where senior Government officers and Elected leaders from Nyanza region have helped to raise more than shs 20 million for Women economic empowerment in Nyando, the Interior PS  said the National has already engaged the Kisumu County Governor and the National Government officials in Kisumu County where it has come up with a security strategy to deal with youth that engage in criminal activities.

He says the multi-sector security approach will great help in minimizing cases of insecurity in Kisumu County and other parts of the country.

He says the National Government is very keen to address cases of insecurity across the country.

The PS also underscores the National Government’s full commitment in developing Nyanza region and other parts of the country.

He says the issue of dyke construction in Nyando constituency to help in controlling the perennial floods that affects the area will be completed.

The PS has help to raise more than 20 Million with President Ruto’s personal donation of shs 10 million given through ODM Party leader Dr. Oburu Oginga. Dr Oburu gave shs 2 million as his personal donation.

ODM National Chair Gladys Wanga gave shs 1Million as well as Minority Party Leader in Parliament Junet Mohamed.

Nyando Member of Parliament Jared Odoyo Okello also gave his donation of sh 1million among other guests.

The funds have been raised towards economically empowering women doing businesses within Nyando Constituency.

The groups who will be benefitting from the kitty have been told to utilize the funds well and grow their businesses.
