Clergy urges President Kenyatta to engage other Nasa Principals in dialogue.

PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to also engage the other three Principals of the National Super Alliance {NASA} Coalition in dialogue with an aim of uniting Kenyans after the last year’s General Elections.

Bishop Patrick Lihanda of Pentecostal Assembly of God {PAG}-Kenya says it is very much important for the Head of State to also engage the other Nasa Coalition Principals namely Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper Party and Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya in the same manner he has engaged Nasa Leader Raila Odinga whom he met last week.

Speaking at the Church’s Headquarters at Nyang’ori in Vihiga County yesterday, Reverend Lihanda said the President has done an honorable thing by meeting the Opposition Leader Raila Odinga because it a move meant towards the beginning of the country’s healing process.

“I thank God for answering our prayers because we have been praying for this country so that both President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga to meet and iron issues. Our country has begun to heal and I fully support what the two Leaders have done,” Rev. Lihanda says.

He says the Country is now heading to a right direction after the meeting between the two leaders, adding the Kenyans can now see a blessing a head.

Rev.Lihanda says it is also now okay for the President Kenyatta to accommodate the three principals of Nasa.

“My prayer and plea to President Kenyatta is to also engage the other three Nasa Principals so as to dialogue on the way forward for our Nation because the most important thing is to unite the country and forge ahead. It is therefore important for the President Kenyatta to accommodate other opposition leaders as this will greatly help the country to forge ahead,” Rev. Lihanda adds.

The Clergy has urged all Kenyans to support what has happened between President Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga whom have met with an aim of uniting the country.

“I want to urge all Kenyans to support what has happened between President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga whom have met and started the process of uniting Kenyans. Kenyans should live in peace and harmony,” Rev. Lihanda further says.

He has lauded the National Assembly for a move to start speaking in one Voice as witnessed on Wednesday.

The clergy has further politicians to keenly watch their utterances so that what they say should not divide the country.

The urges the Government to consider compensating the victims of the violence which rocked some parts of the country during the electioneering process.

“Politicians should weigh what message they pass to the public so as not to incite Kenyans against one another. They should stay in harmony and should help in preaching the message of peace and uniting among Kenyans,” he adds.

President Uhuru Kenyatta last week met Opposition Leader Raila Odinga at office of the President at Harambee House where they held a meeting and later addressed the Nation together.

The meeting seems to have jumpstart the process of healing the country after Last year’s General Elections which deeply divided the country after a heated political contest between leading protagonists President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga.
