Sack more CSs on corruption allegations, Two MPs tells President Kenyatta.

PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta has been told to roll his sleeves and send packing all those Cabinet Secretaries who have been implicated on corruption allegations.

Two Members of Parliament says it is high time President Kenyatta act promptly by firing all the alleged corrupt Cabinet Secretaries whose names have adversely been mentioned on various cases of corruption.

Addressing the residents of Nyando Constituency today during the Graduation ceremony of twenty students at Nyando Tailored in Love, Nyando Member of Parliament Jared Okello and his Mathare Counterpart Antony Oluoch have said time has come when the President must now act on the issue of corruption that has bedeviled a number of sectors of economy.

The two are of the opinion that President Kenyatta should include fight against Corruption as one of the Big Agenda in the country, adding that it should be named agenda five after the Big four Agenda of President Kenyatta.

“One of the things which will make the legacy of President Uhuru Kenyatta to come true is the fight against corruption in the country and the President should have put the fight against corruption as his top agenda alongside the Big Four Agenda,” the two MPs say.

The two lawmakers say the President should now walk the talk and take the bull by its horn on issues of corruption in the country.

On the issue of alleged corruption on the construction of the two dams in Rift Valley, the two legislators say the Deputy President William Ruto should have not commented on the matter by saying only shs 7 billion is the one disappeared and not sh 21billion.

They say Kenyans want to know why the DP was quick to react and defend the issue even before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Director George Kinoti’s office complete investigations into the matter.

“Why are some of these leaders aggrieved by this issue of corruption in the two dams construction within rift valley even to the extent of defending it,” they add.

They say all the Cabinet Secretaries who have been deemed to be behind the corruption on the issue of the two dams must be sacked to pave way for investigations into the matter.

They add that the issue of firing the immediate former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, the two leaders have dismissed it in its entirety claiming that it has nothing to do with the fight against corruption in the country.

They say Echesa’s sacking was long overdue, claiming that he was inept and very incompetent thus could not perform in the ministry.

“We don’t believe that the sacking of Rashid  Echesa as the CSs in charge of Sports and Culture that has happened today constitute the kind of cracking of whips that Kenyans are looking for as far as the fight of corruption is concerned in the country,” they add.
