Those with evidence linking DP Ruto as corrupt should go to DCI, Jubilee activist say.

Opposition Politicians who have been going around the country while claiming that the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto is tainted with corruption should engage the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations and report if they have sufficient evidence linking him.

A Jubilee Party Coordinator from Nyanza has said there is no need for some politicians from Opposition to keep on maligning and mudslinging the name of Deputy President Dr. William Ruto while linking him with corruption without providing evidence to the investigating organs like the DCI.

Speaking to this writer on Phone today, Nyanza regional Coordinator for Jubilee Party Odhiambo Liete said there is nothing the opposition Members who have been busy crisscrossing the country while preaching how corrupt the DP is are waiting other than providing evidence to the office of the DCI Mr. George Kinoti.

He says President Kenyatta’s yesterday’s sentiment that whoever has evidence against him as being corrupt should visit the offices of the DCI along Kiambu Road is a good one hence those with sufficient evidence against the DP Dr. William Ruto  should also do so because the Presidency is one comprising the President and the Deputy President.

“It is high time some of these Members of Parliament from the opposition side stop this habit of referring the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto as corrupt. If they have sufficient evidence in regard to what they have been claiming then the best thing is to report to the office of the DCI for investigations to commence rather than crisscrossing the country while preaching lies about the DP,” Liete says.

Liete says the Members of Parliament from the Opposition should also focus on addressing corruption at the counties level especially from those counties they hail from.

“These MPs should also focus on the corruption at the county level especially from their counties just as they are seen putting a lot of focus on talking about corruption at the National level. This is because charity begins at home and it does not end there,” Liete adds.

He has accused a section of Opposition MPs of visiting radio stations both local and National where they propagate the issue of DP as a corrupt person.

He further says even a number of MPs need to be investigated on the alleged misuse of the National Government Constituency Development Funds {NGCDF} within their constituencies under their watch.

Liete’s sentiment comes barely a few days after he said the fight against corruption should not be done selectively while targeting certain individuals only.

Liete says the current fight against the vice in the country seems to be targeting only a few individuals.

He says the fight against the vice should begin at the office of the President, deputy President and all the offices, adding that it should also cascade to the county Governments’ level and should not target only a few people.

Liete says the buck stops with the Head of the State as far as the fight corruption is concerned, adding that the President must be firm against the fight on the vice and remain neutral while ensuring that no sacred cow is spared.

“The fight against corruption in the country seems to be targeting certain individuals and this should not be the case as it should be a pure fight against the vice. It should be done as Kenyans so as to win against the fight on corruption,” Liete says.
