Foundation embarks again on donating Covid-19 kits to schools as 34 benefits

Mwalimu James Japheth Mwamu Foundation has embarked on donating Covid 19 kits to schools in Kisumu County.

The Foundation’s President Lawyer James Aggrey Mwamu says it has now visited a total of 34 schools in Kisumu County where it has donated the Kits that include Hand washing Tanks, Sanitizers, Thermo guns and Face Masks.

Today, the Foundation visited Akado Nursery School in Kisumu East Constituency and Migingo Girls Secondary school in Nyando where it has donated the items.

Last week, the Foundation visited Kisumu School formerly Kisumu Boys High School within Kisumu Central Constituency and donated the Covid-19 items to the school.

Now a total of 34 schools have so far benefitted, in December Last year, three schools namely Mbeme, Rweya Primary schools and Maisha Academy all in Kisumu East Constituency were the beneficiaries with Maisha Academy becoming the first private school to benefit.

Mwamu has urged the well-wishers to help in donating such items, adding that a number of schools within Kisumu County still require such items to help in preventing the spread of the Corona Virus.

“I want to urge our people to be very careful with the Corona Virus. This is because it is still with us and we must observe the Ministry of Health Guideline on Covid-19,” Mwamu says.

The Foundation targets to reach 100 schools within Kisumu County to give such donations.

He says after visiting 100 schools while donating the items, the foundation will now embark on a program of helping the vulnerable groups in Kisumu County.
