The Education Cabinet Secretary says there is no need for the re-introduction of caning in schools because of a few students who behaves badly, adding that such students need to be identified and taken to approved schools and leave the rest who are ready to study to do so peacefully.

“We don’t have to re-introduce caning in schools because of some few element of students who behaves badly. Such students need to be identified and taken to approved schools,” he adds.

Magoha at the same time urges students not to engage in burning schools since arson is a criminal offense punishable by law

Magoha has maintained that the new system of Education known as Competency Based Curriculum is the way to go and urged Principals of Secondary school to fully back it but with their opinions being very important.
