Foundation awards best students in KCSE in Ksm East

 

More students who emerged best in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams have been awarded for their exemplary performance.

 

The Mwalimu James Japheth Mwamu Foundation has continued to award 10 more students in two secondary schools in Kisumu East who excelled well in KCSE 2021.

 

Addressing the immediate former students and the current ones at Kibos Secondary school and St Albert Angira Secondary school, President of Mwalimu James Japheth Mwamu Foundation James Aggrey Mwamu said he has been impressed with the academic performance of those students who have excelled in KCSE 2021.

 

Mwamu has urged students in Kisumu East Constituency to work hard and excel well in their National exams both in Primary and Secondary schools.

 

The best students have been awarded certificate of appreciation, note books, Pens, T-shirts and shopping vouchers ranging from 1,000 to shs 3,000

 

Mwamu at the same time said there is still need to have dialogue on the issue of dwindling education standards in Kisumu East Constituency.

 

He says performance in a number of schools is not good at all hence the need to have serious dialogue on how to improve the academic standards.

 

The Foundation's President says there is need for the Auditor General to launch in

an audit on some National Government CDF Funded projects in Kisumu East claiming that one of the projects of constructing a pit latrine and a septic tank cost shs 2.4 million in one of the schools in Kisumu East.

 

Last week, the Foundation awarded best students in KCSE exams 2021 from Orongo Secondary school within Kisumu East constituency.
