We need to work together for the development in Nyanza region-Jubilee regional chair.

THERE is need for political leaders in Nyanza region to unite and work together towards the development of the region, a Jubilee party regional official has said.

Jubilee Party Nyanza regional Chairman Zuberi Odhiambo Liete says regardless of which political party the politicians from Nyanza supports, there is need for all of them to come together towards the development of the region which has lagged behind in terms of development since time immemorial.

Addressing the press in Kisumu, Liete says political leaders within the Nyanza region should now take advantage of the recent hand shake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and help in bringing development within the region.

Liete says the region should fully embrace those who brings development within the area including the Deputy President William.

He has hailed the good gesture by Deputy President William Ruto for visiting the region recently while touring some of the development projects which has been initiated by the Jubilee Government since it took power in the year 2013.

“I thank the Deputy President for making a wise move in bringing development in Nyanza region because we have been crying to have development for so long and now that we have a good rapport between President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.I think this is a good gesture and politicians from this region should take advantage of this to spur development in this region,” Liete says.

Liete says time for empty rhetoric is long gone and it is time for development which is the major thing the residents of this country want.

He says those who are opposed to Deputy President’s visit in Luo Nyanza should be in for a rude shock since such visits will be there on and one with an aim of bringing development in the region.
“The people of Luo Nyanza are also tax payers who must equally be served like any other Kenyans and if the Jubilee Government has decided to bring development to the areas residents then it should not be opposed simply because of bad politics,” Liete adds.

Liete says the issue of 2022 politics should be shunned for now and development issue should be discussed and implemented, adding that time will come for politics of the year 2022.
