One dies in grisly Road accident along Kisumu-Busia Road.

ONE Person died on the spot following a grisly road accident that occurred along Kisumu-Busia Road this morning.

Two people seriously injured after a bus and a saloon car collided head on in the accident that occurred near Kisian area within Kisumu West Sub-county.

Speaking to the press on phone, Kisumu West OCPD Meshack Kiptum said the bus was heading to Kisumu from Busia area while the saloon car was from Kisumu City when the accident occurred.

Kiptum said the bus was trying to overtake another vehicle where it collided head on with the saloon car which was on coming from Kisumu.

Kiptum said the person died was the driver of the saloon car, adding that he died on the spot after the accident.

Police took the injured victims to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital where they are being treated.

The body of the deceased was taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.

The two ill-fated vehicles were towed to Kisumu Central Police Station.
