Clergy says Raila can
lead this country because he has a forgiving heart
A section of members of the Clergy in the country have said
the Azimio La Umoja Presidential Candidate Raila Amollo Odinga has a better
chance of leading this country since he has a forgiving heart.
The Clergy under the banner of House of Clergy Association
of Kenya says they have been convinced by Raila Odinga’s character of ever
forgiving those who have been wronging him on several occasions hence this is a
true testimony that he forgives his wrongdoers.
Addressing the press in Kisumu today during Azimio La Umoja
Movement Special Prayer Day held at Power of Jesus Around the World Church in
Kisumu where Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o attended and a host of leaders
within Kisumu County, the House of Clergy Association of Kenya National Chairperson
Bishop Elizabeth Dhuya said Odinga’s faith has been tested on several occasion
and God is always with him.
She says Odinga’s foundation is full of the Holy Trinity of
God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit making him to have a good spiritual
background.
The Bishop says Kenyans should never be divided a long
tribal lines as the country heads to the General Election on August 9 this year.
She says Kenyans should remain united and embrace one
another as the country faces another General Elections.
“Politicians normally eat and drink together while some
electorates would want to fight one another for no apparent reason. This is not
right at all as we need to have the spirit of brotherhood amongst ourselves as
Kenyans,” the Bishop says.
The Association’s National Patron Apostle Arch Bishop
Washington Ogonyo Ngede echoes same sentiments saying Odinga really has a
forgiving heart.
Ngede singled out the issue of Raila Odinga being detained
by the Former President Moi’s regime for about eight years and he forgave the
Former President Moi.
“Raila buried hatchet and forgave former President Moi and
they worked together in the KANU/NDP merger ahead of 2002 General Election and
this is a clear indication that he has a forgiving heart and this is what God
wants us to do,” Archbishop Ngede says.
