Residents says ODM has not endorsed any Aspiring MCA in Central Kisumu ward

A section of residents of Central Kisumu ward in Kisumu West Constituency have disputed claims by an aspiring MCA that ODM party has endorsed him for the seat.

Residents who hails from Korando area have disputed the claim as being propagated by supporters of a certain aspirant whom last Sunday held a meeting purporting that he has been endorsed by ODM party to run for the seat.

Led by former MCA of the area Pamela Jossy Omino popularly known as Pam Jos, the residents while addressing the press at Kanyamedha area today say the move by some residents of Kogony area to claim that ODM party has endorsed an individual for the Central Kisumu Ward seat is misleading indeed.

They say ODM Party has not carried out its nomination process hence none has been endorsed, adding that the party’s primaries will be held within the next few months ahead of the polls.

Omino who is also eyeing the seat in the August Polls says the ward has two main clans plus residents who have bought land and are staying there hence can never be divided along clans  at all cost.

The residents say a time is coming for every politician to sell their policies to the residents of the ward for them to judge on who should be their next MCA to represent them at the County assembly of Kisumu.

Currently, the area ward representative is Judy Ogaga who was elected during the 2017 General Election to replace Pamela Omino.
