Governor Ranguma appeals to Kisumu Residents to vote Raila as President.

Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has urged electorates within the area to turn out in large numbers and vote overwhelmingly the National Super Alliance {NASA} Presidential Candidate Raila Amollo Odinga as the next President of the country during the next month’s General Elections.

Ranguma says the NASA Flag bearer has a greater chance of ascending to power as the fifth President of Kenyan hence urged Kisumu County residents to join their fellow Kenyans to vote in Raila Odinga as the Country’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Speaking during a radio Talk show on Saturday morning, Ranguma said Odinga means well for this country hence needs to be elected as the next President.

Ranguma’s sentiments comes a few weeks after some of his critics claimed that he has never campaigned for Raila’s Presidential bid as he promised when he declared to defend the Kisumu County Gubernatorial seat as an Independent candidate .

Ranguma at the same time distance himself from the recent incident where some youth wanted to hold pro-Raila demonstration advocating for a two term for Nasa Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga.

He says these are mere propaganda meant to smear his name during this electioneering period by one of his serious opponents.

He also denied being linked with a story published this week in one of the local weekly newspapers on its back page which discredited Kisumu County ODM Gubernatorial Candidate Prof Nyong’o.

He denied meeting the Journalist who allegedly authored the story in one of the posh hotel within the town as claimed by Prof. Nyong’o during a radio talk show in Kisumu.

Prof.Nyong’o while on a radio talk show in Kisumu allegedly linked one of the writers with  a local weekly newspaper  as the author of the story after being allegedly given some money by a contractor with the current county Government.

“These people are claiming that I met a journalist working with one of the local weekly newspapers and this is not true because I do not know what they are talking and I even do not know the said Journalist as this is a mere propaganda peddled by my opponents,” Ranguma says.

Ranguma at the same says if elected, his next County Government will enhance farming of sorghum within the county and this will greatly help to uplift the standard of living for the locals.
This is because with the official commissioning of Breweries plant in Kisumu will need raw material and sorghum will be one of them.

Ranguma says his county Government has done a lot of development within his first term of 4 and half year.

He urges the electorates to re-elect him  during the next month’s General Elections as the governor for his second and final term in office until the year 2022, adding that the he has put a strong foundation for devolution in Kisumu County and this will enable him to work well for the residents of the county.

“The reason as to why I want re-election is for me to be able to continue with the various developments my county Government initiated ranging from rural access roads, improved health systems and strengthening healthcare system, Education bursary among others,” says Ranguma.
