Nyongo’s Running mate roots for peaceful co-existence in Kisumu.

 THE Orange Democratic Movement {ODM} Party Gubernatorial candidate in Kisumu County Prof Anyang Nyongo’s running mate has urged the residents to co-exist peacefully before, during and after the General Election slated next month.

Dr. Mathews Owili says the element of peaceful co-existence is very vital for all the residents of the county regardless of their ethnic background.

Speaking at Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground when he flagged off a caravan meant to preach issues of peace ahead of the polls slated for next month, Owili said peaceful co-existence is what is going to lay foundation for the growth and development of Kisumu county during their regime as the second County Government of Kisumu if elected during the next month’s polls.

Dr. Owili at the same time says the growth of Kisumu County will be based on good governance and investment opportunities when they take over the leadership if elected in the next month's polls.

He urges the electorates to cast their votes for Prof Nyong’o who he says has a robust and good manifesto for Kisumu County which he needs to implement upon his election as the Governor and him as the next Deputy Governor of Kisumu County.

He says the next County Government under Prof. Nyongo as the Governor and him as his deputy will work closely with various people who are having great business ideas .

He says the next county Government will carry out social and economic forum at least twice a year so as to be able to engage people with different investment opportunities.

“As a county government which will be in place after the next month’s polls, we will ensure that proper infrastructure is in place to spur growth,” he says.

Dr. Owili who also spoke after going around various stands at the ongoing Kisumu International Expo said there are great potential displayed by those participating in the ongoing expo.

The Kisumu International  Trade, Tourism and Cultural Expo is an annual trade fair  showcasing supplies, machinery, fabrics, services and solutions in trade, tourism and cultural actors.

Its main mission is to provide the industry with unique opportunities to grow, learn and share information across sectors and audiences.

Some of the exhibitors present at the ongoing event include County Government of Kisumu, Lake Victoria Tourism Association, University of Nairobi, Maseno University, Kenya Revenue Authority, Safaricom, Jumuia Hotel, Sovereign Hotel, Tanzania Boutique and Kit Mikayi among others.
