I will resign if Raila is not sworn-in within two weeks, Says Nyando MP.

NYANDO Member of Parliament Jared Okello has said he will resign if the National Super Alliance Leader Raila Odinga is not sworn-in as the People’s President within the next two weeks.

Okello says he will not represent the people of Nyando Constituency in Kisumu County and contemplates resigning should Odinga not being sworn-in in the coming two weeks.

Speaking during the funeral ceremony of renowned Radio Ramogi Presenter Agawo Patrobas at Siany Primary school in Nyakach Sub-County on Monday, the Nyando MP said he will not continue serving as a Member of Parliament and shares the floor of the House with those whom he has accused of stealing Raila’s election victory.

He says he was not elected to Parliament so as to serve as an opposition MP but was expecting to serve as an MP when Raila is President.

“I am going to resign is Raila Odinga is not sworn-in within the next two weeks and this is because I am not ready to share same floor of the House in Parliament with those who have stolen Raila’s victory,” he says.

He says he will never continue enjoying trappings of power while Odinga is out in the cold.

He says their major focus is on the electoral justice which must be attained in the country.

Migori county Senator Ben Oluoch Okello says as leaders from Nyanza region they will at all times follow Mr. Odinga’s  decisions he makes.

Oluoch adds that he will always turn left or right if Odinga says so and will never question him.

The two leaders say they are ready to sacrifice their seats in Parliament for the Nasa leader to be the peoples President.

Kisumu County Fred Outa says they will always stand firm and will fully support the Nasa coalition and its leader Raila Odinga, adding that the issue of electoral justice must attained in the country.

The senator says Nasa Coalition is not begging a grand coalition Government with the Jubilees Government.

He says they are only seeking for electoral justice and nothing else.
