Leave Raila alone,
Alego Usonga MP tells DP Ruto.
A Member of Parliament from Nyanza region has told off the
Deputy President William Ruto to leave Opposition leader Raila Odinga alone and
stop dragging him into his political woos.
Alego Usonga Member of Parliament Sam Atandi claims that
Ruto’s political star started diminishing the day President Uhuru Kenyatta and
Opposition leader Raila Odinga shook hand and agreed to work together so as to
build this nation.
Speaking at Mahero Primary school in his constituency today,
Atandi said the Deputy President should not drag Odinga into his political woos
facing him ahead of the next polls of 2022.
“The political ship of one William Samoei Ruto begun to sink
on the day both President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga
shook hands and agreed to work together to unite this nation as this was done so that the
country move forward,” he says.
The Lawmaker claims that because of the Handshake between
the two leaders, the DP is not happy at all.
He claims that the DP has begun attributing his current
political woos ahead of the 2022 political campaigns to Raila Odinga, adding
that Odinga has nothing to do with the 2022 political campaigns.
“Our Party leader Raila Odinga has stated it clearly that he
is not interest in the year 2022 politics hence Ruto should know this clearly,”
he says.
He says Raila has also stated clearly that what he wants is
a united Kenya and that is why he shook hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta so
that this happens under the watch of the two leaders.
“Raila’s legacy is to see a united nation and this is why he
has shook hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta. Raila is very optimistic that
the country has desired electoral reforms and has nothing to do 2022 politics,”
he says.
