FORMER Ward Representative for Ombeyi Ward in Kisumu County has said he is not sabotaging his successor who is currently serving his term. Missionary Joshua Atieno Auko who served at the First County Assembly of Kisumu during the year 2013 to 2017 as Ombeyi Ward Representative in Muhoroni Sub-County said claims by the current Member of the County Assembly representing the area Vitalis Otura that he is sabotaging his work are baseless and unfounded. Addressing the press in Kisumu today, Auko said he had done his part as the Ward representative during his tenure of five years hence has now given a chance to his successor to do his work as the current people’s representative. Nyando MP Launch construction of shs 100M Technical Training Institute. NYANDO Member of Parliament Jared Okello has launched the construction of a Technical Training Institute within the constituency. The Institution which will be known as The Nyando Technical and Vocational Training Institute will be the first of its kind within the constituency being constructed by funds from the National Government and the National Government Constituency Development fund for Nyando Constituency.  The construction site is next to Ayweyo Luora Primary School within the said ward. July 29, 2019. 15 Court of Appeal Judges in Kisumu to hear appeal Backlogs. A TOTAL of 15 Court of Appeal Judges have camped in Kisumu from today to hear various criminal appeals. The Judges led by the President of the Court of Appeal Justice William Ouko touched down in Kisumu today to start hearing such appeals for four days till Thursday this week. Addressing the press in Kisumu today at the new Kisumu Law Court, President of the Court of Appeal Justice William Ouko said they are currently in Kisumu to hear 85 criminal appeal backlogs.
