show kicks off tomorrow as more exhibitors expected this year.
THE Kisumu Agricultural Society of Kenya Regional Show will
open its door as from tomorrow July 24 at Mamboleo show Ground within the Lake
side city of Kisumu.
The Kisumu ASK Regional Chairman Caleb Oguya said already
all preparations towards this year’s event have been completed and those who
will come to visit various stands within the show ground are fully welcomed.
Addressing the press after meeting some of the exhibitors
for this year’s event, Oguya said this year’s ASK will be a notch higher than
the last year’s one since there is a lot of enthusiasm about it.
“These year’s show will be very good because preparations
have been completed and our exhibitors are very much ready to showcase their
products during this year’s event” Oguya said.
He said the theme of this year’s show is promoting Innovation
and Technology in agriculture and Trade.
The Chairman said these year, there are several innovations
and technologies that will be show during the five day event that is expected
to attract a large number of show goers.
He said already the security within and outside the show
ground has been enhanced, adding that the police officers at police post within the show ground is
very much alert.
He added that the show will be showcasing also the issues in
the agenda four as being spearheaded by the National Government under President
Uhuru Kenyatta.
Oguya said they are expecting a good number of exhibitors
during this year’s event, adding that even some member counties under the Lake
Region Economic Bloc {LREB}.
He further added that there will also be some exhibitors from
Tanzania and Uganda especially on the issues of trade where they will be
exhibiting some of their products.
The Chairman further said there are big plans for the ASK
Kisumu regional Show, adding that there are plans to put up a multi-purpose
hall within the ground in the near future.
