The Government will serve all people of Kenya, DP Gachagua says

Kenya’s new Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has promised Kenyans that the new Government will serve all its people regardless of how they voted in the just concluded election.

Gachagua says all Kenyans look upon the new administration under President Dr. William Ruto to serve them well regardless of whom they voted for during the election that was held on August 9 this year.

Addressing the gathering during the 94Th Kenya Music Festival State Concert at Kisumu Girls High School today, the Deputy President said all parts of Kenya will get development equally because both President Ruto and his deputy are leaders of all parts of the country.

“We want to confirm to the people of Nyanza the President Ruto’s administration will serve all Kenyans that is those who elected us and those who did not because we are leaders of all parts of the country,” he says.

Gachagua at the same time says the new Government will soon form a taskforce to look at the education reforms in the country including the new curriculum of education known as Competency Based Curriculum {CBC}.

He says the CBC will be looked into with an aim of not abolishing it but to review it so as to retain what is good and improve on what is causing concerns from various stakeholders.

The Deputy President has asked all the stakeholders who have concerns on the new system of education to present their views when the Taskforce is formed to look into the education reforms across the country.

“We ask you to turn up and give your views on what is to be done to improve Competence Based Curriculum and the entire education system in the country.

He adds that the current Government is ready to develop and nurture young leaders to take up leadership positions.

“Our Government is very serious in developing the young leaders and we mean business with this,” DP Gachagua says.

Gachagua who after leaving the venue of the Kenya National Music Festival waved to the residents of Kisumu City along Kisumu-Kakamega Road, Oginga Odinga Street while on his way to the airport back to Nairobi.

Enthusiastic residents of Kisumu lined up to have a glimpse of the Kenya’s new Deputy President while waving at him and his entourage.

The DP was accompanied to the function by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha, Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o, Nyanza Regional Commissioner Magu Mutindika and Kisumu East Member of Parliament Shakeel Shabir among other Guests.
