Open the servers and declare Raila President-elect, ODM MPs tells IEBC.

THE Orange Democratic Movement Party wants Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to open its servers and declare the Nasa Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga as the President-elect during the August 8n elections.

Two ODM lawmakers say the party now has issued the demands but with one additional fundamental and reasonable demand directed to the electoral body which is to declare Nasa Presidential candidate as the President-elect upon opening the server, claiming that the server undisputedly  reveal that Raila won the election conducted on August 8 this year.

The two MPs Jared Okello of Nyando and his Kisumu Central counterpart Fred Ouda say they demand full information relating to the ICT insfratructure, list of support partners and their respective service level Agreements {SLAs}, full disclosure of implementation by each partner.

Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Thursday, the two lawmakers said they also demand firewall configuration and ports configuration.

“We also demand that IEBC disclose all database transaction logs including alert logs,archives/redo logs, audit trail, data file, OS command history, network logs,sql.net logs, database vault logs and trace files,” they say.

They also demand physical view and inspection of IEBC servers, portal access to the cloud servers and IP addresses of all 20 servers among other demands.

They claim that upon full implementation of all of the above tabled demands, the server shall undisputedly reveal that the Nasa flag bearer won the August 8 elections.

“We therefore demand that IEBC proceed to pronounce Right Honorable Raila Odinga as the winner of the August 8 polls.

They state that the declaration together with the respective winning certificate must be deposited at the Supreme Court for authentication in line with Supreme court  rules 21{4} which states that: “Within 14 days of delivery of its judgement, ruling or order, the court may, on its own motion or on application by any party, with notice to the other or others, correct any oversight or clerical error of computation or other error apparent on such judgment, ruling or order and such correction shall constitute part of the judgment, ruling or order of the court.”

They further argue that this will now pave the way for the swearing-in ceremony within the next two  weeks of Raila Amollo Odinga.

They also say the creation of a new electoral team by the electoral body is a clear manifestation and an admission that IEBC recognizes that the old team bungled the Presidential polls and cannot be trusted again with any other election, adding that failure to execute the above demands will lead to launching many court proceedings on contempt hence criminal liabilities on the part of IEBC.

“IEBC is a body funded by tax payers’ money therefore Kenyans must get value for their hard-earned resources. There is virtually no point of overburdening Kenyans with another round of elections when the ultimate winner of the Presidential polls Raila Odinga is known,” they add.
