IG Boinet told to arrest MP Moses Kuria.

THE Inspector General of Police has been asked to immediately arrest Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria following his recent utterances on alleged incitement.

Nyando Member of Parliament and his Kisumu Central counterpart Fred Ouda say the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet should affect the arrest of Kuria whom is said to have issued incitement utterance saying those members of a particular community who are staying in Kiambu County and voted Nasa Presidential candidate Raila Odinga should vacate the place.

Speaking in Kisumu, the two ODM Legislators said Kuria should keenly watch about his utterances since members of his community also stays in other parts of the country just like any other Kenyans.
They say all Kenyans irrespective of their ethnic background have a right to live and own property in any part of the country without being intimidated and threatened by anyone.

The two lawmakers also urges the National Cohesion and Integration Commission’s Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo to also immediately investigate Kuria on the issue of hate speech since his recent utterance may stir ethnic tension.

“We want the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to immediately arrest Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and charge him in a court of law because of his recent utterance which is so inciting,” they say.

They say that Kuria should also know that people from Mount Kenya region are also in different parts of the country and such utterances from a leader like him is not very healthy.

“We want to warn Kuria that he  must know  that Members of the Agikuyu community also lives in different parts of the country and such utterances he has made are  very unfortunate. This is very bad of him as a leader,” they add.
