Ten Governors to vigorously campaign for Raila to clinch Presidency.

A TOTAL of ten Governors both from Nyanza and Western regions have laid down a strategy to campaign for the National Super Alliance Presidential candidate Raila Odinga so as to ensure he clinches the Presidency during the forthcoming repeat Presidential election next month.

The Governors have fully pledge their support to the NASA Presidential candidate and will campaign for him in their respective counties to ensure that Odinga win the repeat Presidential poll.

Speaking in Kisumu, the Governors led by Kisumu Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o said they will mobilize the electorates from their counties to ensure that there is higher voter turn-out for NASA to win the forth coming presidential election.

“We have convened a meeting here to deliberate on the best strategies to ensure maximum voter turn-out and ensure a landslide victory for the Right Honorable Raila Amollo Odinga who is our Presidential candidate in the forthcoming presidential elections,” they say.

The ten Governors are Prof. Anyang Nyong’o of Kisumu, Wickliffe Oparanya of Kakamega,Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong of Busia, Wickliffe Wangamati of Bungoma, James Ongwae of Kisii,John Nyagarama of Nyamira and Wilberforce Otichillo of Vihiga County.

Other Governors are Zachary Okoth Obado of Migori his Homa Bay Counterpart Cyprian Awiti and Cornel Rasanga Amoth of Siaya County.

The governors say they will come up with campaign schedules which will help them carry out proper campaigns with a sole aim of urging the public to vote in NASA Presidential candidate.

They have also urged NASA supporters and well wishers to continue donating funds to Nasa Paybill number 991444 to help in facilitating the Presidential campaigns.

The governors at the same time say they will carry on with the mission and vision of the Lake basin Counties Economic block comprising of 13 counties, adding that they want to form a regional Bank.
They add that already contribution by some Governors for the formation of the regional bank in underway.

Meanwhile, the ten Governors have lashed out President Uhuru Kenyatta’s yesterday’s remarks while addressing a delegation from Gusii land at Nakuru State House saying that he will ensure that  the court rules in favor of those Jubilee Gubernatorial candidates from the region  who flopped at the election and have filed petitions challenging the elections of both Kisii and Nyamira Governors.

“This shows how the President belittles the wisdom and independence of the judiciary in the country,” They say.

They say that they can’t understand why President Kenyatta can issue such a statement.
They say that this is a clear indication that the President has no respect for the rule of law and thinks very little of the independence of the Judiciary.

The Governors have asked the President to leave Judiciary to do its works without being intimidated by the Executive wing of the Government.

“These are some of the creeping threats of authoritarianism that we are seeing in his Presidency and has made the people of Kenyans very determined that on October 17 they must elect Honorable Raila Odinga the next President of the Republic of Kenya to put in check this kind of authoritarianism that we are seeing,” they add.

They have also lambasted a propaganda that is doing round in the social media that Nasa Co- Principal Musalia Mudavadi has resigned from the Nasa leadership, adding that this is a complete forgery and part of fake news which Kenyans should delete very fast from their memories.

They say Mudavadi is in NASA to stay and has rubbished any rumors towards the issue that he has resigned from the Coalition.
