Lawyer moves to court to challenge ODM Primaries in Ksm East

A LAWYER who contested the Orange Democratic Movement {ODM} party seeking to be the party’s nominee in the Member of Parliament seat has moved to court to challenge the outcome of the exercise.

Lawyer James Aggrey Mwamu has moved to court and has filed an Appeal number 13 of 2022 seeking for electoral Justice on the position of the nominee of the Member of Parliament seat.

Through a Press statement to news rooms today, the Lawyer’s Campaign Secretariat say what happened in Kisumu East Constituency during party ODM Primaries on April 19 this year was massive rigging perpetuated by one of their opponents and his cronies.

“Our candidate has therefore filed an Appeal number 13 of 2022 seeking for electoral Justice and the matter has been fixed for hearing on April 24,” the Press statement says.

The statement says the candidate just like Prime Minister Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga believes in electoral Justice, adding that this is why they are pursuing the matter in court.

“We will therefore be pursuing this justice to highest level if possible and we must not allow the perpetrators of electoral injustices to reap from their illegal and fraudulent acts,” the statement adds.

The team has urged their supporters to remain calm as the courts determine this matter, adding that they are thanking their supporters who participated in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominations which has just ended in Kisumu County
