Nyanza Clergy Welcomes NASA line up.

RELIGIOUS Leaders from Nyanza region has welcomed the line-up that the National Super Alliance {NASA} has come up with while unveiling its Presidential candidate yesterday.

The Clergy led by the Chairman of the Nyanza Council of Churches leaders Dr. Bishop Washington Ogonyo Ngede ,say they are happy with the line-up that has placed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as its flag bearer and Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as his deputy.

In a press statement to Newsrooms on Friday, the Nyanza Council of Churches Leaders have sent their congratulatory message to the unveiled Nasa Flag bearer Raila Odinga and the entire team.

“We the Clergy from Nyanza region comprising of 200 denominations do hereby take this opportunity to sincerely congratulate Right Hon. Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga and the entire team following his nomination as the National Super Alliance Flag bearer for the August 8 this year General Election,” read part of the statement.

They say this shows that the other four NASA Principals really have great faith in Odinga as the one who can bring the real change Kenyans yearn.

The clergy adds that thi is a clear show that God has greater plans for Kenya under the leadership of Nasa.

“Kenyans are now focusing on the NASA team led by Raila Amollo Odinga with an aim of ensuring that their expectation on good leadership is met when the team wins the forth coming General Elections,” they add.

They at the same time say as the clergy, they are now looking forward to praying for a peace to prevail before, during and after the elections.

They say this is because the country is more important and the element of peace is very crucial for it to remain cohesive.

“As the men of God, ours is to pray for peace to continue prevailing in different parts of the country before, during and after the General Elections,” they further say.
