Kenya Pipeline launches promotional Tarrif.

THE Kenya Pipeline Company has launched a promotional tarrif that is expected to reduce the cost of doing business for oil Marketing Companies in the country.

Many of the Oil Marketing Companies have shifted their bases to the neigbouring Country of Tanzania.

Addressing the press at the Kenya Pipeline Company Kisumu Deport, Energy and Petrolium Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter said the move is aimed at increasing the company’s competitive edge in the region as the leading oil transporter.

Keter says the new jetty will also create integrated marine fuel transportation in the region.

The Cabinet Secretary in charge of Energy and Petroleum says this will therefore make it more efficient and commercial viable.

He says this will further reduce transportation costs for the various oil marketing companies in the country.
