Ranguma appeals for peaceful campaigns ahead of Nominations.

Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has appealed for peaceful campaigns before, during and after ODM Party Nominations slated for Kisumu County this April 24.

Ranguma says peaceful campaigns are very vital for all the residents of the county as well as to the investors who want to undertake some investments within the county.

He says he is optimistic that the ODM party National Elections Board will iron out some of the issues that have been raised by various candidates in regard to the forthcoming nomination process.

Already a number of aspirants for the various seats have raised issues such as that of merging bigger polling stations with smaller ones during the nomination exercise as well as accusing the National Elections Board of appointing cronies of some aspiring leaders to man the party’s primaries in Kisumu County.

Ranguma says he strongly believes that the underlying issues will be solved in an amicable manner before the ODM party Nominations.

“I am very much confident that the ODM party National Elections Board will be able to solve the issues raised so far by some of the candidates ahead of the party’s nominations exercise,” Ranguma says.

He urges the residents of Kisumu County to come out in large numbers so as to participate in the ODM party’s nomination process and vote him as the party’s candidate in the August 8 polls where he will be re-elected for his second and final term in office as the Kisumu Governor.

On the issue of the recently released polls opinion by the Info Track on Kisumu County Gubernatorial race, Ranguma has rubbished his opponent’s claims that he manipulated the results of the polls opinion which placed him at 58.7percent.

Ranguma says he has always been rated between 60 to 80 percent by the public hence he is the one who should complain that he has been rated below his expectation.

On the issue of his running mate for the next election, Ranguma has said that will be dealt with when the opportune time comes at the right time.
