Senator Outa Acquitted over charges to incitement.

THE Kisumu  Court has acquitted Kisumu Senator Fred Outa over charges to incitement and destruction at Ahero Girls High School in Nyando Sub-County.

Outa was charged in 2016 when he was the MP for Nyando constituency following unrest at the school at the time.

He was charged for causing breach of peace in the school and destruction of school property.

Senior Principal Magistrate Julius Nga’rnga’r says the evidence presented by the prosecution was not solid to sustain the case in court.

Nga’rnga’r says Outa did not breach the peace within the school as that had happened before he had access to the school.

The Magistrate says Outa had every right to visit the school as the then member of parliament of the area.
Nga’rnga’r acquitted Outa under section 215 of the criminal procedure Code.

Speaking to the press outside the court, Outa welcomed the ruling noting that the charge was malicious.

He vowed to serve the people of Kisumu County as their senator.
Ends.
