Kisumu residents urged to turn up in large
numbers to attend Azimio Rally
RESIDENTS of
the Greater Kisumu County have been urged to turn up in large numbers so as to
attend the Azimio La Umoja mega rally
that will be held in Kisumu on Friday this week.
Kisumu East
Aspiring Member of Parliament on ODM Party Lawyer James Aggrey Mwamu said the
residents of Kisumu County should turn up in large numbers and attend the mega
political rally so as to be able to listen to policies that will be passed to
them through speeches.
Speaking in Kisumu today, Mwamu has advised the residents to be
very peaceful during the Rally that will be presided over by the Azimio La
Umoja Flag Bearer Raila Amollo Odinga and other senior politicians who will be
in attendance.
He says such a rally is very much important to all Kenyans
because Odinga will be selling his policies to the people of Kenya and what he
will do when he becomes the fifth President of Kenya.
Mwamu has said that no one should try to disrupt such a rally because
of political disagreement at the grass root level since this will be a national
event for all Kenyans.
He says small differences among some politicians within the county
can be sorted out thereafter.
Mwamu's who is also the Azimio La Umoja Coordinator for Kisumu East Constituency says the rally should be peaceful throughout.
Mwamu sentiments comes barely a day after a section of ODM
official within Kisumu County castigated a Gubernatorial aspirant accusing him of
funding the youth to cause chaos during the Mega Rally.
Supporters of Ken Obura who is a gubernatorial Aspirant who
seeks to square it out with the current Governor Prof Anyang Nyong during the
ODM party Primaries said they are not planning any form of chaos as claimed by
a section of ODM party officials yesterday.
