Residents of Kajulu need piped water and good access roads

The residents of Kajulu area in Kisumu East have called on the County government of Kisumu to provide them with more piped water in various parts of the area.

The residents claim that despite it being a major water catchment area, they still don’t have piped water.

Speaking during the installation of James Aggrey Mwamu as the elder of Kajulu and a candidate to run for Kisumu East Constituency Parliamentary seat, the residents claim that they have been neglected for a long time on issues of piped water and access roads.

Victor Onyango Mindo says the area faces two major issues that include having inadequate water  supply in most areas especially bookner among others and lack of access roads.

On his part, Kisumu East Constituency aspiring Member of Parliament James Aggrey Mwamu said he will do his best to ensure that he serves the interests of the residents should he be elected the next Member of Parliament for the area in August this year.

Meanwhile, Residents of the Greater Kajulu Ward have endorsed Mwamu's candidature to run for MP's seat saying he is best suited to replace the current Member of Parliament Shakeel Shabir.

They say Mwamu has what it takes to be the next MP for the area.

The endorsement comes barely a few weeks after the residents of the greater Kolwa threw the weight fully behind Mwamu while endorsing him as the only candidate from the area to run for the Parliamentary seat.

Mwamu is campaigning on a platform of proper utilization of National Government CDF, people driven Constituency Strategic Plan, Improvement of Education Standards and Health facilities, Investment in Agriculture and Food Security among others.
